Reasonable Adjustments

Job Descriptions
At our company, we strive to make our job descriptions as inclusive as possible. We are aware that there is a tendency for men to apply for a job even if they only meet 60% of the requirements, whereas women often feel the need to meet 100% of the criteria before applying.

Anonymous Hiring

We have trialled anonymous hiring and hired more than 10 interns across two locations completely anonymously. We only progressed candidates through the process based on their answers to certain questions, we did not know names, addresses, ages, what school they went to. This worked amazingly well, and is something we will be trying again in the new year. 

Debias Training

We are constantly running new debias training with all of our interviewers across the business.

Removing educational requirements

We have expanded our application requirements to welcome candidates from all educational backgrounds, without a specific degree being mandatory. We believe that hiring based on skills and attitude is paramount.

Candidate Survey
Running a survey which will go out to all of our candidates so we can continue to work on feedback we receive on the process so that candidates feel they are going through a fair process.
